Driver's Abstracts
A Driver's Abstract provides the current status of an operator's license and lists conviction information, demerit points, and suspensions. Abstracts can be purchased for 3, 5, or 10-year periods for both regular and commercial drivers.
How to Order an Abstract
In Person: You can purchase your own abstract by visiting our office with your driver's license.
Third-Party Request: If you are having someone else pick up your abstract, they must bring a completed Driver Abstract Consent form signed by you.
Out of Province Request: If you are outside of Alberta, you must complete a Notarized Request for Personal Driving Information Form. This form must be mailed to our office with a notarized copy of your ID, payment, and return instructions.
Access to Motor Vehicle Information (AMVIR)
