Driver's Licenses

Renewing an Operator's Licence

  1. Bring your current driver's license and renewal form (if you received one) to our office.
  2. Provide documents to prove your identity and residency. You can find the requirements on the Service Alberta website.
  3. Turn in your old licence. You will be given a temporary interim licence that is valid for 30 days.

Your new driver's license card will arrive in the mail within 7 to 10 business days. If you do not receive it, please call the number on your interim licence immediately.

Note: An interim licence only validates that you are authorized to operate a motor vehicle. It cannot be used as photo identification, so plan ahead and carry other ID if needed.
