Renewing a Vehicle Registration
To renew a vehicle registration, please bring the following:

In-Transit Permits
To move an unregistered vehicle or trailer from one location to another within Canada, you must purchase an in-transit permit. This is a temporary registration, and the vehicle must be insured to be moved.
If the vehicle is being moved outside of Alberta, you will also need to show proof of ownership. Permits are not valid outside of Canada. Please be prepared to provide the complete "from" and "to" addresses for the vehicle's journey.
